Mayor Walt Maddox Appoints Selvin Greene Executive Director of Public Works

Mayor Walt Maddox has appointed Selvin Greene Executive Director of Public Works effective immediately.
Greene has served as the Director of Infrastructure for the City of Tuscaloosa since August of 2016. Before serving in this role, he served as the Assistant Director of the Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation, and as a transportation engineer for the City.
Prior to his employment with the City, Greene served in community transportation support roles in both the public and private sector, most recently with the State of Alabama Transportation Department.
“Selvin has been with the City since 2013 serving in three different roles. His dedication to Tuscaloosa is apparent and I’m confident that he will do well in this new role.” Mayor Walt Maddox said.
Greene holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama.
